Install 1.0.4.0 but keep 1.0.7.0?

Featured Replies

I am wondering how I should go about installing 1.0.4.0 whilst keeping 1.0.7.0. I had orginally copied and pasted 1.0.7.0 base into a folder. Then deleted it. Installed 1.0.4.0 and it kept giving me an error, no matter what I did..

Is there a way to circumvent this?

Is there a certain way I should go about this?

Thanks in advance,
Gump

If you're using Steam, make sure Auto-Updates are disabled before re-installing otherwise the game will automatically patch to the latest version. If you have a disk copy, re-install the game and copy over the contents of the Grand Theft Auto IV folder to another folder called something else. Now install whatever patch you want into that Grand Theft Auto IV folder and once it's done, rename that folder to something else and call the other folder (which you copied over earlier) Grand Theft Auto IV and put it in your directory, now install the other patch.
