Anyone of you have heard of that mod? It's been released recently and, I must say, it's pretty cool. For those who don't know or didn't guess, it's a mod that basically allows you to play as Aiden Pierce, you can hack a couple of things such as traffic lights, ATM, cars alarms, cameras, burst electric stuff.

Looks pretty crappy. W_D is better than that.

Well obviously, since W_D was literally -made- for this kind of gameplay.

But for a mod for GTA IV it looks pretty good to me, being able to script so many things is very impressive. When you turn the lights green all the cars pass and crash, you also can activate those metallic pylons on the middle of the street to block the way, you can make the ATM burst to vomit cash so the civilians rush on it and sometimes wrestle to get the money, and a couple of other things like remote controlling a car and all. Again for a mod for GTA IV, that's a lot of features that weren't even included in the game to begin with.

There's also the same wanted system, where someone in the street calls for the police, you can disrupt their call, and you can escape the area before the CtOS localizes you, and if you don't a police chase starts. Cops also have enhanced behavior, they drive better and aim better.

All in all it looks good to me. Each one their taste, at the end :)

EDIT: Oh, I forgot, you can also hack the metro to climb on it and make it drive away like in the game.

Ya, cuz dispatch wouldn't send a unit down to check out a 911 hang up. And should a crime occur, they just have to wait for CTOS scan to do anything before sending units down to what could be an active shooter mowing down people.

I'm sorry, but no.

While I like some ideas of the mod, the execution is pretty bad. Like the traffic lights. Cars just pile on up if you repeat the scheme. Even then they shouldn't just accelerate like mad.

Well, let's be hones there, do you really think that once someone made a 911 call, a unit would be dispatched in the ten-thirty seconds? That's the time you need to be already quite far away from the said area, even IRL, so I don't see what's so shocking there.

As for the cars, I agree, even though I doubt it could be made any different without altering the game and its stability by adding more and more scripts.

Depends on what's going on, 30s+ sounds more plausible overall though. Liberty City is also a small city packed pretty tight with cops pretty much around every corner. Problem is the cops don't even bother showing up at all unless the scan succesfully finds the subject. It has no logic what-so-ever.
