Featured Replies

I've tried installing LCPDFR 1.0 several times with the automatic installer and manually and im having no luck. it will install automatically but when i open the config it says failed to find valid installation. if i click ok the config still opens but when i go into the game it says error loading lcpdfr_loader.loader. ive done a lot of research trying to fix that and i found nothing that works. i manually installed it but then my game stops working. i dont know what else to do

Hey,

I'm currently working on a new version of the Diagnostics Tool to aid with such issues in a better way. It would be much appreciated if you could run the attached beta version and either see if it helps you resolve it or if you are not that experienced with Windows just attach the log file and let me have a look. Thanks.

Please do not PM me unless really necessary (knowing you helps). If you think you need my attention in a topic, tag me.

I also used the diagnostics tool and ran it and it says i have everything but it says check failed so i clicked find solutions and double clicked everything and it says no issues found on anything

Thanks, log file looks good.

Do you have any log files in your game directory (C:Program FilesRockstar GamesGrand Theft Auto IV) (you can post a screenshot of it, if you want)? If so, please attach them.

What timestaps (you can also post screenshot again) do the logs have? As they do not seem to match your recent session (they say something around 10/08/2014). It's pretty odd...

Here's a screenshot of my gta iv folder with lcpdfr installed. When i have it installed though my game will not open. I didnt have that problem the first time i installed it. ive tried all three ways to install it also. but now i cant download any of them. every time i do the security code thing and click download it refreshes the page.

You can try removing AdvancedHookInit.asi as that is the only LCPDFR component loaded at startup. If that doesn't work, I can't really help you as it's a game startup issue and not connected to LCPDFR then.

If i remove that would that make lcpdfr not work? because like i said before the first few times i installed it the game would launch but it would say error loading lcpdfr_loader.loader. ill try deleting that and if the game still wont start then ill reinstall it
