GTA IV gets stuck on loading screen

Featured Replies

After installing the First Response mod, my game will be stuck on the loading screen. (Ex. Loading - The cousin of Bellic) Only mods i have is EMP, EPM, Weapon Mod, and a car pack. Please Help.

How does it get stuck?

I had a problem where the music cut off and it would just stick on 'loading - the mission' and maybe crash eventually. I repaired my copy of GTA and installed the latest (rc2-r2) installer and it worked.

Does the music cut out? (that indicates the game has crashed but not closed)

If it doesn't then it's having trouble loading something so I'd say it's likely to be effected by a mod.

Do you have the latest version of GTA?

Actually, It sounds more like a corrupted game save,

Did you by any chance happen to Save the game while on duty?
