Allright, so i just installed GTA 4 from steam, copied the files "GTAIV" folder to a folder called Rockstar Games under programs files (86) then renaming GTAIV to Grand Theft Auto IV and i installed the 1.0c automatic installer and installed it to the custom "Grand Theft Auto IV" folder and when it was done i launched configuration didnt change anything, closed it and i started "LaunchGTAIV.exe" the game started, i then started a game did the small first mission you have to do, pressed ALT + P nothing happend at all! I've seen this with one of my friends. It could be...

  • LCPD:FR is being installed in the wrong folder/directory.

I have Steam and I needed to do this as well, instead, install LCPD:FR to the GTAIV folder in the steam directory instead of the custom "Rockstar Games" directory. You could also, if you want, Launch the game from Steam or Create a Shortcut from steam by right clicking Grand Theft Auto IV in the Library section and select: Create Desktop Shortcut.

I hope this helped, if not, quote this post!
