1. Open Spark IV

2. Scroll down to the bottom and click on "cdimages" (located under models)

3. Click on "vehicles.img" and click "Edit"

4. Find the vehicle model you are editing (ie; police, police2, polpatriot, etc ) and click the ".wtd" file of that vehicle and click "Edit"

5. Click on the "police_sign" files (there are usually 4; police_sign_1, police_sign_2, etc), click import, and replace it with the png file

6. Click "Save and Close", then click "Save", close that window and one final time click "save" and you're finished

Also, if Spark IV gets an error while importing a skin, try using Open IV. It never (normally) gets an error while importing a texture/skin.

Custo:

Do you know a workaround for OpenIV crashing when you preview some car mods?

You mean like looking at the car model? Only reason that would happen is if the car model is locked, so it's not viewable.

Other than that, no.
