SparkIV on GTAIV

Featured Replies

Hey all,

Got a weird dilemma. Im running windows 7 ultimate 64 bit, and when I installed my GTAIV, I had to run it in compatibility mode for windows xp. Once installed it gave me a D3D error, so I figured it wouldnt work in 64 bit, but I instead copied the GTAIV directory to Program Files/Rockstar, instead of the 64 bit Program files, and it ran perfectly. Installed LCPDFR and everything runs perfectly except when I use SparkIV, and I browse, under PC, my models or anything isnt showing up...is there a way to correct this??

I for now, click open, and then go to the directory of vehicles.img my self, and it allows me to make changes, but I dont feel as if this is a safe way to do it...any suggestions? Thanks!

Thanks justin. I just know what I would want someone to do as far as describing the issue. lol its amazing what 3 years of VZ Tech support will do!

I use open and navigate myself. Never had any issues. Browse will go to the default location of GTAIV when you installed spark and if you moved your GTAIV file for whatever reason (as I did) Browse still looks for a file that is no longer there and in some cases wont even start up unless it can locate the GTAIV.exe in that location.

So unless someone has reason not to I see no issue using open and navigateing manually. If you have several versions of the game in different stages of modification then it's a must anyway.

Oh as for correcting it. Never really looked to see about editing the default location for browse. Next time I use it I will take a look as you got me wondering too now.

Cool, Thanks Molten. Yeah, its not an issue. It works both ways..I was just worried somthing may corrupt. But appreciate it! :geek:
