els v8 crashes my gta iv!

Featured Replies

please help!!!!! i downloaded the els v8 and when i go into the game when i get out of my house. it all turns black i can only see the road under the cars and some lights, other then that i cant see anything. i followed what the guy did in this video:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7CfC3Q9skv0.....

sometimes it will crash my game in stead of going to a black screen (but most of the time it goes to that screen). when i try to download it, again just like he said in that video. thw lcpdfr sometimes does not work also.

i have really wanted this but i had this problem. thanks

I assume your game worked prior to installing ELS V8, but not after? That sound about right? If so I assume you made the same mistake as me, which is that you didn't put the scripthook files, into your main directory. Hope this works!

When you install the files from the rar, make sure you put all of the files in the installation folder into your main directory. Not just the els ones, the scripthook ones too.

i did that and i still have that problem

Try removing the mod or putting it in another directory to see if your game works fine without it. What are you system specs? Could be you can't handle the mod and/or car mods.

I should've been more specific. It may not be enough to play GTA IV with mods or high end cars.

two things....

1. i have not added any car mods yet. all i have added was the lcpdfr and the els. no cars....

2.what do i need more of or what needs to be better.

Yeah, and LCPDFR is pretty resource heavy for a script mod. I would recommend upgrading your system. Your issue sounds exactly the kind of problem that occurs in GTA IV when your system just can't handle something.

i have had cars on here before and was messing around with them. then right when i installed els i started having the problems. before i ever put els on here i was having no problems.

Maybe that was the final nail on the coffin that pushed it off the edge.
