Vehicle capsizes when spawned in traffic

Recommended Posts

Hello, I don't usually ask, but this time it's a really unusual bug that I cannot understand at all.

I've just converted a car, and it's fine when I spawn it in-game. However when it spawns in traffic (it's a police car) it either spawns nose-down or upside down, capsizes into the ground and then starts strafing across the map at a high speed. Sometimes the wheels go missing, other times, it touches another car in the traffic and that car's wheels go missing also. Then the vehicle will just slide across the road as though it is hovering.

Really confused, because there doesn't seem to be anything wrong with the model itself - it's only when the game spawns it in traffic does this bug occur.

Anyone (who might also have some experience with converting vehicles) have an idea on what could be causing it? Has it happened to any of your models before? Helpful feedback would be appreciated.

it has to do with one of these 2 problems:

1. Handling line

2. An axis is wrong

I tried changing the centre of gravity in the Y-axis in the handling line, but it didn't do much. By axis, do you mean there could be a defective pivot somewhere on the model?

Well not sure, it should be the chassis or bodyshell i think, is the model in the middle of th view?

I've used body_a and body_b in replacement of chassis and bodyshell for naming. (I've tried it with the other names, did no difference).

Here's a screenshot of the pivots and the centre: http://gyazo.com/d538894225f3683f26a467408553c1cd
