ELS8 Lights shutting off

Recommended Posts

Hey folks,

I've had ELS8 since release back in May, but probably around a week ago I began to notice an issue where my vehicles emergency lights would shut themselves off while I was outside of the vehicle during things like traffic stops, ending pursuits, drugs/shots fired, etc. I would assume it was a changed setting or mod, but I can't think of anything I did in the timeframe that this began.

It happens with any vehicle I've tried, one of which I know I've had since long before this started. Most vehicles are ELS8 native, one is not but uses default settings VCF anyway.

It only happens to my vehicle, NOT to the AI units that I've ever seen.

There is actually one thing that may line up with this issue: I set the SP Flash to 1 from the default 2. I'm going to try going back to 2 but I can't see how that would effect it.

I have seen at least one other mention of this issue in my research, but no solution to it.

Thanks,

-Coffee

LCPDFR, ELS8, bunch of cars, Wouters calls, a textures mod, iCEnhancer 2.1, VDH Helper, Coroner, Tow truck, some guns... I think that sums hehe.

Changing the flash delay back to 2 seemed to help a lot, but the issue seemed to still occur.

Not a huge issue if I shut off the siren before getting out of the car, but if the siren is on when the lights shutter themselves, there's no killing it, even if I blow up or de-spawn the car... so that's where it gets annoying.

Re-install the game and install modifications one by one. At first you should only install ELS v8 and ELS vehicle, run the game and check if it's working. If it works then install other modifications too but one at the time so you can be sure what modification is causing the ELS lights to shut off.

I had the same issue as you did but I managed to fix it by re-installing the game and modifying it one step at the time.

Just make sure you install LCPD:FR v1.0c last.
