Problem Installing 1.0c

Featured Replies

I know I'm probably doing something stupid, but I really need help on this one. I've been trying to install 1.0c with the automatic installer and I also make sure to install it to the GTAIV directory. The download works and it goes into my directory. However when I start playing and press alt+p ingame it still says I need to update. My game also crashes when I try to arrest someone. I know this may be a stupid question, but I still would appreciate the help. Thanks.

Hello there -- welcome to LCPDFR.com and thanks for trying out LCPDFR.

You failed to read the instructions before posting in this forum. So we'll remind you of them.

Please do the following:

  • Make sure you aren't using a crack - We don't support cracks
  • Update GTA IV to 1.0.7.0 (the latest version of the game, or 1.1.2.0 for EFLC) - This sometimes fixes a wide variety of issues
  • Make sure that you run the game as an administrator.
  • Make sure that your GTA IV root folder (and every subdirectory) is not set to "read-only"
  • Ensure that ScriptHook.dll, ScriptHookDotNet.asi and Dsound.dll OR Xlive.dll are in the GTA IV ROOT folder
  • Ensure that there is a folder titled 'LCPDFR' in the ROOT GTA IV folder.
  • Check that all the above files exist, if they do not, reinstall LCPDFR with the MANUAL installation.
  • Ensure that you are using up to date versions of every LCPDFR dependency and LCPDFR itself.
  • Install these: .Net Framework 4.5Microsoft Visual C++ Redist 2012

If your problem has been solved after following these basic instructions, hit 'Mark Solved' next to this post.

If not, please now reply to this thread, and make sure that you do the following:

  • Give a clear, detailed description of the problem.
  • Explain any circumstances surrounding the problem.
  • State what solutions you have tried.
  • Post ALL relevant logs (LCPDFR.log, Scripthook.log, ScriptHookDotNet.log, AdvancedHook.log).
  • Include as much information as possible.
  • Post your system specifications.
  • Post what other mods you are using. This includes car and script mods.

Please note that failure to follow these instructions may cause this thread to be closed.

I went through all the steps on the checklist that you provided. I downloaded the two links that you gave me and I also made sure that GTAIV is automatically ran as an administrator. I then used the LCPFR diagnostic tool and everything was successful, however it still didn't work. I then tried the other G17 diagnostic tool (I know it's outdated) to see if the scripts were working and they were working fine. It just still will not work when I'm ingame and I press alt+p. If you need anymore info to try and help me out with this it's no problem. Thanks again.

Fixed it! I went through and manually installed it again, but this time I noticed that the plugins folder wouldn't go in. So before I put LCPFR into my directory, I took out plugins since I thought it was corrupted and I was right. I then checked the LCPFR folder again and a new plugins folder was there and it fixed my problem! I really appreciate the help you gave me and again I'm sorry for not reading the instructions the first time around. Thanks again!
