Help adding lightbar?!

Featured Replies

Hey, i´m working in a project with some friends, and we´ve got a decent Argentine police car... and now we have a problem in which I hope you can help;

How do we add a lightbar? And were we can find some? Or we have to model a lightbar ourselves??

And another problem we have is when trying to open the file in Zmodeler. We just can´t. The zmodeler seems to not support the .wft ,, solutions?

Greetings!

The file your trying to open, I'm assuming is a car model, and is probably locked. Other modders will lock the car's they release so others can't steal their work, so you'll have to look to download 'unlocked' models. As far as the lightbars go, you download them from offline (unless your up to developing it yourself which is very difficult), and you place the textures into zmodeler that come with the lightbar, then import if it is a .wft file or merge if it is a .z3d file.

If you look on the tutorials on here, or look up how to do it on youtube, there are plenty of instructional videos

Here you can find all unlocked parts, including lightbars and car models. I don't know if this list is still being updated, but it should give you a little bit of an orientation of what's available.

Hey, thanks for the answers! :). The model is the chevrolet silverado that appears in the link that OPPOfficer gave me.

The problem is that it doesent even appear when trying to open or import a file.

^this^ and have bought Zmod, because to as far as I know only a paid copy of Zmod can import the .wft file type

Yeah, 2.2.4 is the most stable version to my understanding. You can create your own light bar, but you will have to go through the pain of ELS mapping it or setting it as Non-ELS. Just use the list that someone above me said. As for your error, that sometimes happens to me, it appears to be a bug, but it only does it when I import .obj files and select "obj" then it shows up invisible, restart Zmod and try again (or try a different model) good luck with your issue!

I don't know whether this is a legal upload of Zmodeler or not (if it isn't please remove it) but there you can find version 2.2.4 which should work with GTA IV files. (it does for me)
