Hey Everyone, 

 

I have been suffering from sudden crashes a lot during playing LCPDFR alongside that of ELS and several vehicle modifications. However when checking the LCPDFR logfile I am bombarded with several Error and Warning messages. Please note that the first few errors involving initialization were fixed however more recent issues have emerged such as that of my most recent session. I have included LCPDFR.log, AdvancedHook.log and AdvancedHookInit.log. I am unsure what may be causing the sudden crashes however hopefully someone has the knowledge to fix the problem more than I do.

There's your problem. 

 

Also, you have the freval error. The freval error was fixed for some users by doing this: Open up your LCPDFR.ini, look under "Main", it should look something like this by default:

AdditionalCopCarModels=
SuspectTransporterModels=POLICE;POLICE2;PSTOCKADE;
VehicleTrunkWeapons=Shotgun_Baretta;
AllTextMode=False
AmbientScenariosMaximum=2
AmbientScenariosMultiplier=250
DepartmentName=Liberty City Police Department
DepartmentShortName=LCPD
FirstStart=True
UsingPoliceStationMod=False

Now, add to the bottom of that part

PreloadAllModels=True

The "Main" part should now look like this:

Thanks for the reply, I have already added in the string to the [Main] however I am currently also using ELS with Met Police Car Pack (Battenberg) and the Met Police Ped Pack by Double Doppler which are all ELS ready. So I am unsure what the link between those and LCPDFR could be to cause the issues. 

They're not. They're causing GTA IV to crash, not LCPDFR. There is a difference. Does it work without the car mods?

Yes, which is a problem because I really enjoyed the ELS vehicles I have installed. 

I luckily back up my files so a quick change around with the modded and original file means it is back to working order now.

Try to lower your graphics settings, remove some cars that you can live without. LCPDFR is only officially supported on a legal, up to date and unmodded copy of the game.

It is all good now, I really appreciate your help. I have managed to source it down to just a single vehicle mod causing the issues. Thanks very much.

Additional question:  I also am crashing and also have some ELS vehicles that are the likely cause.  Is there a way to restore the default vehicles? Also, can you recommend a highly stable ELS vehicle/set?

This isn't your topic. 

Only way to restore vehicles is to use the backup that you made prior to installing the mods because they tell you that everywhere. 

And no, I don't use ELS as ELS isn't stable in the long run. 

Yeah I know this wasn't my topic. That is why I wrote "additional question" - As I thought it would be better than starting a new thread, since I'm having the same issue. Thanks!

Issues with LCPDFR and GTA IV might look similar, but they almost never are. That's why a new thread is always recommended : )
