I dont think there is a gun that is more reliable than Glock for this kind of work, but still, we use the Taurus PT 24/7 Pro Tactical in my State. It has killed some cops because it's firing system is way too unsafe, and it has killed an innocent teenager a few months ago. Cops were approaching the car to check him and the driver, when the teenager opened the door quicky, and hit the gun, causing it to fire a projectile to his head.

 

It's know that Taurus export the best models do USA, and keeps the lower-quality guns in Brazil. I'll link up some videos so you guys can see what I mean
