Crash on game startup. GTA IV 1.0.7; LCPDFR 1.0

Featured Replies

Hi,

This has been going on for a couple of days now and I have definitely tried to troubleshoot it myself...

Two nights ago I removed LCPDFR 0.95 to make way to 1.0

The install went fine.

Now, when I go to start up GTA IV, I log in to Social Club -> play and then it just crashes "Grand Theft Auto IV has stopped working".

I recently disabled Data Execution Prevention (because Windows was saying that was what was crashing it before) but after a reboot and even intalling LCPDFR on a clean GTA IV install, the program still crashes.

Specs: Windows Vista; Quad Core AMD @ 2.3 GHz; Nvidia GT610 graphics.

Note: 0.95 ran perfectly on my machine.

I did not find any so called "LCPDFR.log" in my GTA IV directory or on my PC...at all.

I've posted my "Advanced Hook Init" file as well as my GTA IV directory photo.

Thanks!

This is EXACTLY what is happening to me. I've been playing 0.95 for ages and its fine, i tried to get 1.0a upgrade and launch GTA IV, after social login and games start up it just completely crashes.

Been waiting for next update, 1.0b. Still same problem. GTA IV can't even start up, it will say "gta iv has stopped working"

Did delete the AdvancedHookInit.asi and that got me in game. However, LCPDFR had a message in top left corner real quick that I think said there was a problem with the asi loader or something...

I do have both of those programs installed on my PC. Now, I replaced all the scripts, dlls and asi's located in the manual install (nothing replaced over) and this also replaced the Advanced Script Hookinit file.

Now GTA IV crashes again

This is from the AdvancedHookInit.txt file if it helps..

Oh, I should mention. I put ELS in the game with its scripts but I deleted the advancedscripthookinit file again to get in game...

Alt+P loaded the PD's on the map but the mission markers wouldn't work..

None of your warnings is of relevance, that's all fine. The diagnostics tool fails to find your game installation, because your registry keys are missing/corrupted. Simply tick the "Advanced Mode" checkbox at the bottom to manually select your folder. Your latest log, however, shows me that installating the software I linked to you fixed the AdvancedHook.dll issue. So what's your problem now? Everything appears to be set up fine.
