why do I see cabs instead of regular cars?

Ok, I have been playing while this site was offline, and I have to ask why do I see a crap load of cabs instead of just cars driving down the street? I have inserted a traffic spawn mod in, but it made it to where the road is FULL of cabs. I'm down to just driving around, ignoring the calls, and finding a regular car to follow to see if that driver is not following the law.

This is known as the "Taxi Bug" it happens when you have car mods with high poly gons (Or something like that) That takes up the games allocated memory, Thus, Making the game engine freak out, And spawn a crap load of vehicles, Use Traffic Flow V5:http://www.lcpdfr.co...raffic-flow-v5/ Or my personal Favorite, Traffic LOAD: http://www.gta4-mods...afficload-f9780, Or other various Traffic mods/Taxi Bug fixes, Or just simply don't use Car mods, Hope this helps!

PS: This type of topic does not belong in LCPD First Response > Support, It belongs in The Gta IV area, Since it is more oriented around GTA IV, and not LCPDFR since it is the car mods causing this problem, and not LCPD First Response Its self.

EDIT: Its also possible that traffic spawn is causing the issue if you have no car mods installed.

  • 3 weeks later...

You put the 2 traffic load files into the main folder right ? and not in the scripts folder.

And if it still don't work use the 3rd file, the dll file that came with the download as well.

Only works for me using that 3rd file as well. depends on system I think.

In the main GTA folder you need the 2 files. one ending in . ini and the other that ends in .asi

try that first and as said if no luck add the dll file as well.

A lot of people make the error of putting these files in scripts folder.

This, And also, Traffic load takes about 2-4 min. to fully load into the games memory, So give it some tiem.

no, I tested both, and I knew how to insert those 2. I put traffic load in the main folder. It says it in the read me file. I'm not dumb enough to skip the manual/readme file.

We never said you were.....
