Hello there! I am a new user to LCPD:FR and lcpdfr.com. Yesterday and today, however, i have not been able to play the game correctly. Going into the police station would make me crash, so i would just type "forceduty" and "spawn (whatever car i wanted). However, when i do this, i cannot pull anyone over, i cannot respond to calls because they make me crash, i cannot tell someone to stop what they're doing because that also makes me crash, and doing ctrl+alt+m makes me crash, so i basically cant do anything! Usually, when i got on it said "A new version of LCPD:FR was found, do you ant to update?" And i would click "Dismiss" and i would be able tp play fine, but yesterday AND today that didnt pop up, so it might be that? I bought GTA IV so i could play LCPD:FR And i have been able to play it fine for about 3 days, but yesterday and today its been awful. Any help would be greatly appreciated, just make it so i could understand it cuz im not a good computer downloading kinda guy :P Thanks for the help!

Hello. Could you answer these questions please? :) 

Running the game as administrator? Latest patch? What other mods are you using? What operating system are you using (Windows XP is NOT supported)? Make sure that LCPDFR 0.95 is removed (http://www.lcpdfr.com/page/tutorials/index.action/_/script-data-file-modification-tutorials/how-to-uninstall-lcpdfr-r19).

Running the game as administrator: Go to the GTA IV folder, right click on GTAIV.exe, Properties, Compatibility and select 'Run this program as administrator', do the same exact thing to the LaunchGTAIV.exe.

 

I will try to run it as administrator now. I installed it a few days ago, at v1.0, so.. thats the patch? I dunno lol... Mods: LCPDFR ELS and anything else that comes with LCPDFR and ELS (I DID have the trainer, but since i am on laptop and dont have the numberpad, i deleted it.) What operating system? I have a Windows 7 laptop.. And if i got it at v1.0, would i have v.95? And what do the last 4 links do?

If you haven't used LCPDFR 0.95RC2, you can ignore that advise about removing it. :)

 

The 4 links are redist that you will need for LCPDFR to run properly.

Well, running it as administrator did nothing for me, it actually made me crash the moment i walked into the station, and when i pulled someone over, it didnt say "Use shift to cancel" or "Park up behind the vehicle to continue" "Exit your vehicle" I will download the links now, but do i just download them? Is there anything special i need to do with them?

You will have to download and install them. 

 

Are you using any modded peds? 

Modded peds? I have no clue what that is. And with the first link, when i hit Download, 3 links pop up. Which do i download?

Modded cop player models? 

 

If you have a 64 bit system, use the x64 one. If you have a 32 bit system, use the x86 one. 

I downloaded everything. And, i dont think i have modded police player models. You mean police skins? I dont believe i have any special police skins if thats what it means..

I see. Could I see a screenshot of your GTA IV directory?

Why do you need my email? 

You simply click under "Upload Images" and select computer. 

I asked for your email/business email because i know how to send pictures and stuff through the email, but i managed to figure out how to do this :P

Could you try to manually install LCPDFR 1.0? You can find the manual installation package from the front page, by clicking "Download LCPDFR". Here's a guide for installing it '?do=embed' frameborder='0' data-embedContent>>

Do you know of a video for it? I will no doubt mess something up by doing it step by step like that, im better with videos. And, would i have to delete the LCPDFR i have now? If so i dont know how to do that also.

If you follow that guide, you will have no problems.

 

The only LCPDFR you will have to remove is 0.95RC2 if you used it.
