LCPDFR 1.0 is not working / Alt+P problem (Solved)

Featured Replies

I've been having trouble with the LCPDFR 1.0 mod Pressing Left ALT + P nothing happens at all, everything worked fine with 0.95.

- I have done a clean install of GTA IV through Steam 4 times. Two of the times I did the LCPDFR 1.0 Automatically replacing with hotfiles as well ,and the other 2 times manually (following the step by step instructions)

- Unchecked all the read only, and ran as admin as well.

- I've also installed Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 X86 Redist, Microsoft Visual C++ 2012 Redist X86 and DirectX from the links posted in the manual.

Attached are the files I have in the root folder along with the ONLY log file that I see which is the "AdvancedHookInit.log"

Also in my scripts folder I only have 1 file in there (LCPDFR Loader.net.dll) Not sure if this is normal?

Any help is appreciated, please let me know if you guys need any more info.

Thanks!

Must you use xlive.dll?

I've tried both .dll files from the ASI folder with no luck still.... Ahh so depressing!

Are you using any other mods?

No I am not using any other mods, just installed another fresh copy of the game through Steam. When I try to install Directx again it states I have a newer or equivilant version already. Not sure if this matters? Also I still don't see any other log files except for the advanced hook one.

Thank you again for your time!

Thanks for the links, re-installed everything alt+p still doesn't do anything...

I recommend uninstalling GTA IV via Steam, go to the root folder and delete any left-over files. Then, re-install it from Steam. Launch the game once to create config files and then install the mod manually. Let me know of that works.

Is your GTAIV Illegal copy or not?

You can see in the screenshot that it is a Steam version of the game...

Hey I wanted to let you all know that I just fixed the issue! I figured my DirectX was telling me I had a newer or equivalent version of the software so I installed the DirectX Redist June 2010 and fixed the issue.

Thanks again for everybody's help!

Ah that's great! Glad we could solve the issue here, even if you solved it more than us. Happy gaming! :)

Haha yes I am so happy now, 1.0 is a bit more laggy though. Thank you!!
