Hello LCPDFR.

Since Saturday my GTA IV has become very slow. It takes atleast 2 minutes for the login screen to popup, and after logging in another 2-3 minutes to actually launch the game.

Then after the Rockstar Logo's there is a long black screen (about 1 minute) until the menu finaly pops up.

Then after loading while trying to play with my clan it disconnects me saying:

"Disconnected becouse computer running to slow."

 

I never had this issue until saturday/sunday.

I don't know what went wrong, but it's anoying the crap out of me.

 

Here are my specs:

4GB Ram DDR3

Ati HD5450 512MB (Sapphire)

500GB HDD SATA2

Intel Core 2 Duo (@2.93GhZ)

Belinea Monitor

Windows 7 Home Premium x64

What was the most recent change to you made to your game/system?

Nothing...

Sounds like it isn't a GTA IV problem really. Have you ran a virus scan recently? If not, do so.

Yes i did, i also tried updating DirectX, no result.

Strange. Is it possible for you to reinstall? 

Also tried that, i'm really clueless on what is going on.

Really weird... Running the game as administrator? 

Jup, i'll try to redo the scan again.

Nvm. It's now doing a full scan.

No result, also did a new clean install, still the same problem.

I'm not really sure what could be wrong then. Do you have the latest patch? Legal copy? 

Yup, Legal Copy, Patch 7

do you use lcpdfr 1.0 ? If yes try to install 0.95

That's not really going to help, since the OP said he hadn't made any change to his system and it just started doing this. 

 

Besides, 0.95RC2 is more unstable than 1.0, I see no reason to use it instead.

at me 1.0 is making problems too, and 0.95 is more stable at me

For me, 1.0 is miles more stable than 0.95RC2. In fact, Less than 1% of people are having issues with the mod. 

I did reinstall my Video Card drivers. I'm using 0.95 as my clan doesn't want us to use 1.0

Did it improve your situation? 

It did launch faster, still the message though. Now updating Windows
