Crash during Pursuit... Any ideas what caused it? (View logs please)

Featured Replies

Hi, my game just crashed during a pursuit. I was wondering if you could review my log files, hopefully discover the problem, and get back to me. According to the LCPDFR log file, it seems like i'm missing several audio files, but that can't be right since I used the auto installer for 1.0 along with the hotfix shortly after. This is a legit copy of the game and I ran it as an administrator. Any ideas what caused the crash?

What r ur specs (including OS).

Best way to troubleshoot is to start barebones and incrementally add additional components until u experience the issue again:

Uninstall GTA IV

Ensure all files r deleted from GTA IV folder

Reinstall GTA IV

Install 1.0.7.0 Patch

Install LCPDFR 1.0 and Hotfix 1.0a

Run the game without any other mods or add ons. See how long u can run w/o crashing. Crashing in GTA IV is inevitable. However, if u can play w/o crashing for 1+ hours then it's probably safe to quit and install 1 additional mod or add on. Run again with the hopes of being crash-free for a reasonable time. If no crashes, continue to add 1 additional mod or add ons at a time... Once u get an early crash, upload those logs and let us know what mods or add ons that u had installed...

Best of luck!

Hi, here are my specs. This is the only mod I have installed. I plan to install a first-person camera mod in the near future though.
