Recommended Posts

Hi there,

I have folowed the other post to the letter (ie. admin mode, added dll files, re-installed, repair install, manual fix etc) however , still LCPDfr will not start after pressing Alt+P, (nothing happens).

Please help, so I can enjoy this new mod and encourage the developers to continue this great mod!

Thanks

Have you read my previous replies?

Specifically this:

Important! Read this: ?do=embed#entry204057'' frameborder='0' data-embedContent>> and this '?do=embed' frameborder='0' data-embedContent>>

Legal copy of the game? Running the game as administrator? Latest patch? What other mods are you using? What operating system are you using (Windows XP is NOT supported)? Make sure that LCPDFR 0.95 is removed (http://www.lcpdfr.com/page/tutorials/index.action/_/script-data-file-modification-tutorials/how-to-uninstall-lcpdfr-r19).

Also, please install these

Running the game as administrator: Go to the GTA IV folder, right click on GTAIV.exe, Properties, Compatibility and select 'Run this program as administrator', do the same exact thing to the LaunchGTAIV.exe.

Could I see a screenshot of your GTA IV directory?

Invenio, Investigatio, Imperium

I've had similar issues and to fix it completely what I did was just to follow the manual installation guide word-for-word and that seemed to have fixed it.

Simply right click the .rar manuel installation and click the option Extract files.. and put the directions to your GTAIV's root folder in there and the files should all extract to there. Once they are all in, go to your root folder and open up a the folder containing the .dll files, cannot remember the exact name of the folder off the top of my head, and choose from either dsound.dll or xlive.dll. I personally use xlive.dll and that seems to have lessened any crashes I've had. Once you decide with one you will be using, copy it and paste it into your game's root folder and then delete the folder containing the .dll you did not use.

Hopefully this helps you get 1.0 working properly.
