Hi guys, I've made sure that all the taser files are in the correct place and the hotkey is set to "T" in the lcpdfr cfg, but when i press alt T my player still does not pull out a taser! It worked fine at first and i havent even installed anything new (modscript wise) since it was working. it just doesnt make any since to me, im usually able to resolve my problems with LCPDFR on my own but something as simple as the taser has me so frustrated. any and all help will be appriciated, thanks

When installing the mod, which installer did you use? If your answer is "Automatic installer", please use the manual installer. Guide here ('?do=embed' frameborder='0' data-embedContent>>). 

i dont see what difference it would make i used the manual install guide to make sure it placed all of the files in the right place and that it added the lines in the .dat files in commondata

You didn't really answer my question. I'll rephrase it: Did you, or did you not use the manual installation? :)

because everyone that is using the auto install is having problems with the files... Even the developers are saying to use the manual installation or some things won't work for the mod.......... thats why.... 

okay i will use the manual install to overwrite all the files lol i can almost guarantee it wont make a difference. but if it does then props to you guys!

btw it did this to me even with .95 rc2. the taser worked for a while then just stopped working.

just going off what people in the forum have been saying and doing to make these glitches work..... Try to do a clean install of the game first with no mods and then add them one by one and see which one may be conflicting with it.... 

 

I would recommend not overwriting the files with the manual installation........

stupid question but did you remove the AdvancedHookInit.asi out of the gta4 folder? Followed the tutorial on how to install it correctly?

okay i think i may have found the problem, tell me this, in your lcpdfr folder in the main directory, what files are in the plugins folder

I can't tell you that at this moment... Im at work and not on my home pc... sorry.... :-/ 

ah thats okay. i deleted and replaced all files using the manual installer and its still not working.....:/ i was just asking about the plugins folder cause even the new one that came with the manual install has no files in it

i doubt it has to do anything with the plugins folder.... have you looked into all your log files and see if there are any errors?  Only reason I think it has something to do with a mod you installed is that it was working and now its not... thats the only thing i can think of........ 

Just a quick question, did you use LCPDFR 0.95RC2 prior to installing LCPDFR 1.0? 

figured it out, it turned out one of the lines in gta.dat, default.dat, or images.txt was misplaced because i downloaded the pre edited ones and it worked. thanks for the help anyways guys!
