I while ago I made a new topic, because my multiplayer didn't worked and maybe somebody has a new idea now for me.

honestly, I've got a cracked version before, but I wanted to play multiplayer, so I bought it on steam. At this time, GfWL wasn't working. If I press the home button (Pos1 on the german keyboard), nothing happens. Today I wanted to try it again, but I couldn't login at the social club when starting the game. I requested a new password and it's still not working. Also when I want to open the GfWL Marketplace (not in the game) there is just the loading screen for a few seconds and then it disappears. So, I can't even try to test multiplayer, because I can't log in in the social club. Or does multiplayer also work when I start the game offline? When I want to make a LAN server it says: Disconnected from game session. SO LIVE and LAN don't work. I really want to play multiplayer and join a clan or so, because singleplayer is getting a bit boring with the time. It would be really nice, if you could help me.

Do you have xlive in your game directory? Also, it seems a like multiple users are having issues with RGSC atm. 

I have the xlive.dll, because dsound.dll makes just problems. The game is crashing or even doesn't want to start after RGSC.

Xlive disables GFWL. You need to use Dsound instead. 

If I use the dsound.dll the game won't start. I start the game offline in the social club and then nothing happens. The GTAIV.exe is in the task manager under processes, but it disappears after about 20 seconds.

Can I see a screenshot of your GTA IV folder?

Does the game work without any mods, except LCPDFR and Dsound inplace? 

I just got LCPDFR, ELS and modded police cars.

Okay, have you tried with the latest Dsound version (comes with the LCPDFR manual install). 

Yes, I just deleted the xlive.dll and took the dsound from LCPDFR 1.0 (manual install)

And did it work? 

No, as I said above, after the social club windows nothing happens. No error or so, nothing.

I tried now different combinations.

1. dsound + xlive: worked (the game crashed after around 2 minutes playing, but could also be another issue)

2. dsound: game won't start after the social club

3. xlive: works fine.

4. nothing: game crashes with an error after social club.
