LCPDFR 1.0 install not working.

Featured Replies

I have no versions of LCPDFR installed at all, my computer was just recently update to a new OS, no files exist of any modifications of GTA4. When I do try to install (automatic) I get the options to modify, repair and uninstall. These options make it seam as though I already have LCPDFR installed, when I defintiley do not. When I try the manual install my game crashes immediatley after rockstar social club. I'm unsure of what to do. Again completely vanilla version of GTA4 and no modifications exist on my computer at all.

I hope this is in the right forum, it does say support questions for install, which is exactley what this is...

Legal copy of the game? Running the game as administrator? Latest patch? What other mods are you using? What operating system are you using (Windows XP is NOT supported)? Make sure that LCPDFR 0.95 is removed (http://www.lcpdfr.com/page/tutorials/index.action/_/script-data-file-modification-tutorials/how-to-uninstall-lcpdfr-r19).

Also, please install these

http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=5549 (If you haven’t updated GFWL, use this).

Running the game as administrator: Go to the GTA IV folder, right click on GTAIV.exe, Properties, Compatibility and select 'Run this program as administrator', do the same exact thing to the LaunchGTAIV.exe.

okay I tried everything there, and this time it did do a fresh install with the files going into my directory. But now upon launching via the launcher in my directory the game crashes immediatley after the socail club sign-in. All those files you listed are installed, my GFWL is updated, legal copy (steam), latest patch 1.0.7.0, Vista Ultimate 64bit, and I followed the removal of .95 as I had installed it just before because 1.0 wasnt working for me.

I had something similar happen to me. I would use automatic install and select uninstall first. Once this is done, use the automatic install and it should show now the install option.
