I play LCPDFR for a long time, but now it won't install. I get this message:

What should I do. I never had this problem befor.

Hey and welcome to the fora! Watch this video ('?do=embed' frameborder='0' data-embedContent>>) by Break to solve your issue. If that doesn't solve your issue however, make you uncheck the tazer option in the LCPDFR automatic installer.

Are you sure you are following all the steps completely? Did you follow the troubleshoother (before creating this topic)? 

Yes, but now it works. It only works if i don't link my account to LCPDFR. I think becaus I fergot my password and then I typed it for several times wrong.

You know that's just odd. I've installed LCDPFR numerous times with no problems. I did a fresh install of GTA IV a day or two ago, and now all of a sudden I get that error too. And I did like you said about not linking my account and it worked. Wtf?

 

And if anyone asks to make sure I did like Break did in the video, yes, I even did that. The thing is, I never had to do it like that before, and even then, it didn't work. Every time I unchecked read-only in my GTA IV folder, it would do just that. Then when I checked it again seconds later, read-only was checked again.

This error occurs when Windows do not have enough access to write to the GTA IV folder. You need to make sure that you run the installer as administrator and that UAC is disabled in the worst of cases. The crime stat system is down atm, which may cause some issues with the installer. 

 

When you have a fresh copy of Windows all settings are reverted to default. Things will behave different. It's not weird.
