Adding more police models + cars [NON ELS]

Featured Replies

Dear,

Is it possbile to add more cars and police models to the game (LCPDFR) without having ELS? For some reason ELS is not working and I'm fine with the normal lights.

Also,

Which models are compatible?

Kind Regards

  • There sure is, read this guide carefully (http://gtapolicemods.com/showthread.php?3018-Add-New-Car-GTA-IV-Not-Replacing). LCPDFR won't work properly though.

There are several models avaible. Just look through our immense download section. On the top of my head though: Ekalb made some really nice Vanilla non-els cars.

Hello,

Thanks for your reply,

So I simply download them. Open SparkIV go to the models section and drag and drop? Also, will these be able to pull over cars and will they be avaliable in LCPDFR when selecting your car

Any car that has somewhere on it saying Non ELS will work drag and drop into fbi, noose, police, police2, police3, police4, policeb, polpatriot, nstockade, pstockade, ambulance and firetruck. You may however have to change some handling lines to prevent roll-overs. Also, take note that FBI and policeb only have 4 emergency lights available, so if you take a car that uses all 8 in a police slot and put it in fbi or policeb, only the first 4 siren lights will work.

Damn, forgot to mention that. I also heard that somewhere. Does that mean the sirens + lights won't work at all when in a new slot? For future reference..

Invenio, Investigatio, Imperium

If using GTAIV, police3,police4 and policeb slots are not being used by default, but can have working non els emergency vehicles with sirens, all that needs to be done is to simply ADD the car and either use the model name police3, police4 or policeb when adding(not replacing) the emergency vehicle.

^You can only do that with EFLC or the morevehcles pack. You need the base of police3, 4 and b in order for the lights to work,. Simple adding them to the base gta iv vehicles.img and naming them differently doesn't work. The cars will show up, but no police computer and no working lights or sirens.

Okay..

So say with the Police 3 and Police B

Are they free slots? (No cars present)

And does that mean I can replace them with everything working? ]

Also,

What if I wanted to add cars to the actual game, as in Civilian cars without replacing the original civi cars, say, I wanted a ferrari, is that possible?

Also,

Is it possible to add more outfits? Or is that the samne thing as the cars

You still replace the models in those slots since police3 is the police marked buffalo and police4 is the marked police stinger gt. Policeb is self explanatory. As for clothing you can do that with open iv. Not sure how because i've never needed to add peds myself. BUt if you don't want police3,4 or b as default cars, then you can use them for different ones that you choose on the modding sites. Just be aware that police 3 has halogen lights, police4 has led style and policeb has 2 leds and 22 halogen. And no police computer.

Okay... Thank you for your help :)

I guess the same applies to normal civilian cars, I have to replace instead of make new one

Not for civ cars. It is only the Emergency cars because of the coding I guess. I don't know much specifics other than adding lets say police42 will make the car show up, but no police computer and not emergency lights or sirens. All other functions (horns, doors, sound head and taillights etc) will work fine.

Ah.. So

I can get some civi models and just put them into the vechiels file like the police. ? And they should work (as normal cars)

Well if you're putting civ cars into police. slots, then it will have a siren, but no lights. The lights themselves are part of the model, the location i.e. police2 is what enables them to flash.

What about Civ cars into NEW civ car slots?
