Nope it made it worse now I can't even get into the main menu

I hae had the game running before but it would kick me out after about 15 minutes of game play sometimes less  

I can't see what kind of GPU you are using (or I'm just blind). Did you do any recent change to the system and/or game? 

no but i use an nvidia geforce gtx 660 graphics and no ecent changes system or game and now i can launch the game but i get to where the menu should be and it doesnt respond so i open the task manager and it says its not responding.  

 

Can you post a screenshot of your GTA IV folder? Could be some conflict there..

this is the folder where i have GTA installed

Is "read-only" checked on the gta iv folder? 

Yes I think so

Can you try to disable it?

I did and it didn't work

Question: When running the title update, which one of those files are you running?

The menu appeared after a short wait and now I am trying to apply the update that normally fails

Are you running the exe or msi file?

I am running the exe file because I even tried the msi file and it said to run the exe file
