unable to play LCPDFR online Please help me!

Im unable to play online on lcpdfr because a games for windows live update wont install. it says to use this product install the update, so i do but it wont even install. can someone please help me fix this? the update is windows live id sign in assistant 6.5. it starts loading the update but the installer exits out by itself. please help!

Windows Live ID Sign-in Assistant 6.5 will not install. can someone help me make this work? without the "update" i am unable to play lcpdfr in multiplayer update is found here:

it was saying i didnt have xlive.dll installed earlier and wouldnt launch so i had to put xlive.dll on there, i deleted xlive now

EDIT: Sidenote: Run the game from LaunchGTAIV.exe in your GTA IV installation directory.

Run the LCPDFR automatic installer again and make sure you select dsound.dll as the ASI loader. Xlive disables GFWL, you see. 

what i did before was run gta, and it said it needed xlive, so i selected dsound and downloaded xlive. let me restart it
