For a good few months I have been playing GTA IV patch1.07 with the following mods;

 

LCPDFR

Braveheat Policing script

ELSv7

car wash/fix

Simple Trainer 6.5

VHD policehelper

London Met Police vehicles

London Met Police uniforms

 

With no problems until today I bought GTA IV TBoGT on digital download, After redeaming the code on GFWL it auto downloaded and installed in a completly diffrent location compared to GTA IV,

 

TBoGT ran fine when I 1st played it but after I replaced the 2 extra police slots, copied ELSv7 into the file it wont even load it, black screen after I pick it.

 

Any Ideas? I did save a standard car which I have not modded in the parking space but I can't even get load it to remove it, I have also deleated my save but that has not helped.

• Make sure you aren't using a crack - We don't support cracks
• Update GTA IV to 1.0.7.0 (the latest version of the game, or 1.1.2.0 for EFLC) - This sometimes fixes a wide variety of issues
• Make sure that you run the game as an administrator.
• Make sure that your GTA IV root folder (and every subdirectory) is not set to "read-only"
• Ensure that FirstResponse.net.dll is in the SCRIPTS folder and that AdvancedHook.dll is in the GTA IV ROOT folder.
• Ensure that ScriptHook.dll, ScriptHookDotNet.asi and Dsound.dll OR Xlive.dll are in the GTA IV ROOT folder
• Ensure that there is a folder titled 'LCPDFR' in the SCRIPTS folder.
• Check that all the above files exist, if they do not, reinstall LCPDFR with the automatic installation.
• Ensure that you are using up to date versions of every LCPDFR dependency and LCPDFR itself.

• Run a diagnostic report (found here: http://www.lcpdfr.co...agnostics-tool/) which will point any errors it can find and will be used later on if you need to post a topic.

Its not a crack, I bought it from game.co.uk on digital download.

 

GTA IV is at up to date & I have downloaded EFLC patch but it wont install, it says it cant find EFLC.

That is where GFWL downloaded it too.

I think that's where the installer is located, not the actual game. Could be wrong though. If that is the installation directory, could you change it to something more normal?

I've tried that & I've even tried putting it inthe GTA IV folder & still nothing, I used the diognostics tool & that says its not installed yet I did manage to play it until I used spark to mod the vehicles. The patches wont install and on the GTA menu it still shows as playable even though I get black screen & CTD.

 

Should I change the file path for when GFWL downloads it & re-download it directly into my Rockstar Games folder?

Something along the lines of this: 

x:Program FilesRockstar GamesEFLC

I redownloaded and it auto installed again into my rockstar games folder, I managed to do the 1st mission, save then it CTD no reason. Now when I start it, plays music, shows the loading pics then when it comes up with the game its loading I get CTD no reasons.

 

This is really starting to get annoying, plus they don't refund digital download, I'm considering buying the disk. Plus it wont let me patch as the patch can't find the game.

That is really weird. Maybe someone who bought digital download can help out?
