My Gta Iv Crashes With No Error

Featured Replies

I have a decent computer and a standard video card and a legal copy of GTA IV, but for some reason the game crashes with no error and right after the loading screen, (I have a lot of mods) this happened to me before, but I just uninstalled and re-modded the game manually instead of dragging in my backup files.

My Graphics Card: NVIDIA GeForce GT 610

-------------------------------------------------------------------

Computer Specs:

Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit

Possessor: Pentium® Dual-Core CPU e6300 @ 2.80GHz 2.80 GHz

RAM: 7 GB

Space: 310 GB free of 687 GB

--------------------------------------------------------------------

Mods installed: LCPDFR, ELS V6 (Visual Settings from V7), The Simple Native Trainer, The world trade center mod, Vdh Police Helper, a few script mods, a lot of car mods, and a few peds.

--------------------------------------------------------------------

Asi loader: dsound.dll

Also, my game lags like hell when I enable shadows, anyone know why? Any help would be appreciated, thanks

It lags with shadows because shadows are generally heavy for the GPU to render. Since this is two days old (and somehow I just saw it) I must ask, is it resolved?

I erased the GTA IV main directory and reinstalled the game and played on a different user, that seemed to work, but I put in my backup files (big mistake) and it happened again, so I am not going to play anytime soon but I am just going to hang out on LCPDFR.com :)

Ah, I see. Well, if you need any assistance, you only need to ask.

Sounds like a plan, it's a great place. Free imaginary beer everyday!
