Strange car in Germany

Hey,

today I saw a really strange car. It was a Prosche 911 (or something like that, it was really fast). It was black with a wirte stripe. It looked a bit like a Viper. On the roof was a police light (or something like that). What was that for a car? I can't find a picture of the car. Is this maybe an american police car? We have US Facilities in Heidelberg, so maybe it's a car from the army?
