Hey,

if I play the mission where you have to chase the drug dealer I have a problem. The dealer is going to the appartment and I have to damage the door to get in the flat. Always when I want to shoot on the door, I get a windows error and the game is closing. Does anywhere know how I can solve this problem?

Is it a legal copy of the game? Are you running the game as administrator? Are you using the latest patch? 

legal copy bought on MMOGA (downloaded via steam). I run the game always as admin and I'm using the latest patch.

 

P.S.: I tried it one time without ANY mod (deleted all datas in the script folder and ELS). Didn't worked.

It could be a conflicting mod. Are you using any car mods? Or texture mods? 

Could you also list your computer specs, please. 

As I said it in my "New York"-Thread I have some NYPD cars and other taxis. I have also Viva New York installed.

PC Specs:

Intel i5 4 x 2,80 GHz

NVIDIA GT440

4GB Ram

Win7 Home Premium

 

I can play the game with no lags or other problems except that the game is sometimes crashing due to any mods (especially near times square).

Oh, right that was you, sorry.. Memory is good but short. 

My guess is that it's the mod that is causing the crashes since GTA IVs missions will crash often when using mods.

I tried it without scripts and ELS. So these can't be a problem. Do you think mods like viva new york or something like that could be a problem? But in the house there is nothing (!) what is refering to the such a mod...

And you are sure the mod does not replace any model in that house? Are you running the mission with modded cars, because that could also be a problem. 

Only new police cars and taxis. I don't know if any mod replaces anything in the house because I can't look behind the door :D

I have made a backup by GTA IV after installation. Can I take my saves to this backup, play the mission and then take the state back to my normal GTA?

You can revert the backup without (hopefully) corrupting the saves. Go for it! Also, you can backup your current saves. They are located here:
