I just downloaded and installed the basic LCPDFR 0.95 mod (the ~5 megabyte one).

 

Is there anything else you need to download to play?

 

I watched videos of LCPDFR on youtube, and it seems that what I have is lacking in features.

 

I am not a heavy gamer and have never used mods before, so please forgive my ignorance.

Start with cars. That's what I did one year ago. Then scripts, peds and maps. Handling lines can be finicky if you don't' know what your doing so looking up some how to guides on this site won't hurt. A little reading of the support section can never hurt either. Welcome to the community!

I like to use vdh Police helper, vdh towtrucks, and els v7(or which ever current one is out), but as Bravo said just start with cars cause they can be tricky at first but you'll get the hang of it soon enough.
