Hey all,

I'm a 43 yr old guy, new to this entire LCPDFR scene. I just wanted to introduce myself and inquire as to what exactly I need to enjoy this to the fullest and to encourage any hints or tips you all have learned over the years. I'll be playing on my laptop if this install of GTA works. I will of course search the forums to help answer my own question but just in case anyone can point me in the right directions ya know?....

Thanks and take care

Hey thank you. I got GTA IV installed and running well. I turned down a few video settings, I was running a little hot with everything on high and very high. Also got a couple cop skins installed. I'm excited to get going. I do need to read up on the key commands to get my lights and sirens going, also MUST get a controller. Keyboard driving is the worst.

I'm also new to LCPDFR. I would like to know a quick and easy way to download ELS and some cars.. Can anyone help? And also, is there a live news feed where I can get support from different people at once?

Being new, I don't know of a live feed but check out those links he left me. I got ELS and cars there. There also is a GTAIV Vehicle Installer out there. Makes that part almost effortless. Good luck! Maybe I'll see ya on patrol

Sorry to piggyback off this thread. I am also new to the whole LCPDFR gaming and I downloaded all the mods that are recommended and willing to try everything out. I can play basically all day tomorrow
