Crashing due to load failure

Featured Replies

Hello.

Tried to run the diagnostic, but it cannot located my ASI loader because I am using the steam downloaded GTA IV.

Installed and installed again to repair both microsoft packages. Reinstalled the mod on both .091 and .095, same problem.

Re-imported my car models and downgraded ELS to version 5.

The mod and game will load fine until I go to select my models. I can select a character without issue, but when it hits any car other than the 1st or 2nd, I get some type of error saying the model failed to load. This in turn will send the graphics in a load-freakout, with textures popping in and the game just becoming unplayable. If I select the 1st or 2nd car to play with, the game will just freeze and crash after responding to the first call and all the cars turn into cop cars.

I attached my error log thing so you can have a look at it because I'm confused!

Thanks.

Reinstall the mod anyways. It should detect your ASI loader without problem, I have GTA IV on Steam as well. Like Olanov said, copy the diagnostic log so we can see.

EDIT: Also, read the GET SUPPORT page... Make sure you have .NET framework and C++.

Like I mentioned, it was running on both .091 and .095 with the same problems.

Yes I am running about 10-15 custom cars.

The game is in fact running as admin.

I have installed both C++ and .NET multiple times. I know they are on my computer. Even the extended package 4 thing.

And like I said, I can't post the diagnostic because it doesn't detect my ASI loader.

Reinstall 0.91 again and make sure you select just dsound.dll. It should definitely detect your ASI loader. Having the game on steam does not matter.

EDIT: 10-15 custom cars could also be the problem. Especially if any police cars are modded.

I'm fresh installing GTA IV, then the LCPDFR mod. From then on I will continue to add mods until I can figure out what is resulting in the crashing.

Everything is reinstalled, this time with NO custom cars, and it is still giving me the same issues.

And the diagnostic tool cannot find my GTA IV path, even though it's in the same spot as it was?

I can't seem to find the edit button again? But now all the cars are turning into taxis and police cars, hundreds of them. I have traffic flow installed but it didn't fix this issue. I am on .091.

Alright, issue solved. One of the modded police cars, a suburban off the policemods website, was causing the issue. It's removed and now the mod runs perfectly. Sorry to waste your time mate!
