My Nightcore - Opinions?

Featured Replies

Hi everyone,

As some of you may know by now I've recently really gotten into Nightcore music.

What is Nightcore?

A song that is labeled as "Nightcore" is a techno/trance/dance song that has been modified from an original song - it differs from that song in that its tempo and pitch has been raised. These levels are usually around 20-30%, and are raised simultaneously. Please note that a song need not be anything more than a speed increase in order for it to qualify as a "Nightcore" song.

A coined term for Nightcore is that it is a raise of speed and pitch. Although this is commonly used, it is not correct, since the very definition of "speed" is a combination of both tempo and pitch. Therefore, "Nightcore" can be seen as a glorified term for "speed edits" of techno/trance/dance songs.

Anyway, I've decided to start "Nightcoring" some songs myself and basically I want the community's opinion on my Nightcore music but don't be all like "OMGz dIS sucKz!1!", I know a lot of people don't like this style and that's perfectly fine. But some constructive criticism would be best if you don't like it.

Just ignore the anime if you're not into it, there's an unwritten rule somewhere that Nightcore must have some form of anime picture. If you don't believe me, go YouTube "Nightcore" and see how many anime pictures show up.

(I even put the lyrics in the captioning, that took a damn while!)

This is the first song/video I've uploaded to my new channel (Which will only feature Nightcore songs/videos) so please if you like this style of music, like the video and possibly subscribe for more.

Thanks a bunch!

God they are certainly like dance, I'd say they'd be best in the gym or running but wouldn't listen to them just when I was bored.

It's very fast paced stuff and they really differ depending on what style you choose (The one in my video is dance). The basic purpose of Nightcore is to take an original song and make it "happier" by speeding it up and raising the pitch. I do agree with you though, this sort of stuff is great for getting you pumped up, not necessarily this song though since this is a "happier" one compare to some of the stuff I've heard.
