In both IV and EFLC, I have recently been having issues where AI police cars disappear.  It is especially noticeable when I gain wanted levels and I see the police units appear and then instantly vanish on the radar, sometimes even disappearing a block away from my location.  This is also noticeable when I am using LCPDFR when I call in backup units and I never get any.  I can spam backup all day long and only one or two cars end up showing up.  My issue is somewhat similar to this topic () but it is much more severe. 

 

It seems like this issue is related to ELS in someway since I first noticed it since I updated ELS to version 7 when it first came out.  I tried editing the ClearRandAiExtras line in the ELS ini thinking that maybe the process is making the police units disappear but it actually made the problem worse.  If I get a wanted level when police units enter the wanted circle they start to disappear.  And like I mentioned earlier this happens in both IV and EFLC.  I have IV modded out with LCPDFR, ELS, policehelper, policing, etc. and a few ELS car mods and EFLC I only have LCPDFR and ELS with a few ELS car mods.  My EFLC is on a fresh install too.  I am also using TrafficFlow for both games.  Is there anyone else who has this issue?  Anything that I can do to fix it or suggestions on how to fix it?

Try putting value 100 in ClearRandAiExtras line, so maybe the cars won't disappear, or it may be just that you have a weak computer.

I turned ClearRandAiExtras back on and since 100 is the default value for that feature, I increased it to 500.  I tested it out yet cars are still disappearing when they are responding to my wanted level or when I call for backup in LCPDFR.  I highly doubt that it's my computer.  I'll list my specs.

The game runs amazing with my specs so I highly doubt it's that.  Any other suggestions that I can try?

Don't use v7. Use v6 till further updates that actually work to stop crashing and bugs such as yours come out.

I just wanted to report that I have fixed my issue by increasing the Els_Range_Ai value.  Default value is a ridiculously low 120 value and I have increased it to 500 and I have no issues with AI police cars disappearing.
