I'm having trouble with the f10 backup while in pursuit. When I press f10, the icon at the top left says backup is on the way but no one ever comes. Cop cars just patrolling will join in the pursuit, but they go very slow and their sirens aren't even on. I will be lucky to see at least one cop show up with a siren on. This is really rare for me though and most of the time I really need backup . Sorry if someone already had this problem, but I looked into the forums and I didn't see anyone with a problem like this. I have the hardcore version with windows 7 64bit, if that has anything to do with it.

Any help would greatly be appreciated. :smile:

Do you have a lot of car mods and ELS?

hm i use gta 4 with 2 mods LCPDFR and Short Sleeved by olanov and its' very great:)...i dont like anymore ELS....charger...FCV...i like it Natural:)

That's weird, it happens to me that if I press F10 they won't turn on the sirens, but i thought it was ELS. If you say you don't have ELS or any ELS cars then it must be a bug.

I should also note that I have the steam version of gta 4. The only thing I can think of that might have caused something is that I changed the .ini file from hardcore "True" to hardcore "False". Mainly because I wanted to play my single player game and having hardcore on is extremely difficult in story mode.

What does hardcore do anyways if I may ask. Are bullets just more lethal? How is it different from the regular version?

OH! So that's why in some videos they don't show up in the radar? I thought it was a glitch(Lol) i must try that.

Well I have a temporary fix to hold me off till the next version. I just need to spam the backup buttons a bit till someone shows up.

It's just completely random with me it seems. Sometimes they're showing up, and helping me out, and other times their no where to be seen.

I fixed it! I just reinstalled the mod and now everything is running smoothly. Thanks for the help everyone!
