Featured Replies

i ran the tool everything checked out.so why am i still crashing every 20 min.any ideas?(a post mentioned switching to els5 would that help?)

Not having ELS might help

  • 2 weeks later...

And you use 0.91, correct? Try reading this page and seeing if anything at all on that page can help (re installing C++ and .NET, etc.). Make sure that the game is being run as an admin, and yes downgrade to V5 for ELS. V6 tends to be buggy and crash randomly.

@Barham

Try what I said, but ignoring the part about ELS.

What files from the Els V5 download do you not add the to the GTA directory?

Do you add the dsound.dll and scripthook that comes with the download or keep the ones

that's all ready in the directory? When i add the Els and Els.asi files the game crashes.

i even tried changing the visualSettings.dat file. Any suggestion would greatly be appreciated

Thanks

ok I'll try ELS.asi and ELS.ini. And the scripthook that came with the ELS download and see if that works.

i already have the dsound in the directory, thanks guys...

Ok I fixed the problem (well my problem, others may varie , mine crashed when runiing ELS add ons)

So what I did was I removed the dsound.dll (remember to back it up) from the gta folder and replace it with ASI LOADER 1.0.2. (which i think is a dsound.dll file also)

I'm using ELS V5 and so far so good, no more game crashes. Remember to back up your file(s) you remove so that way if the fix doesn't work you can put things back the way they were until you find the correct fix. hope that helps

BTW I'm running the 0.95 beta version
