Tech Support On Beast Machine

Featured Replies

So I don't need to list my specs. my machine that i custom built ran me about 1.2 thousand. But because gta is shit with ram and ect, I was wondering if you can use commands in steam to make the game run more then 1 core on cpu, and use more ram?

You can't force any program to use more processors than it was designed to use. The only thing that an OS can do is put each thread on its own processor, but that uses no more processors than you have threads. Multithreading is the sort of thing you wouldn't want to be edited at the command line - you decide what sorts of threads you use (a pretty major decision), and use that many. You can't just add and remove threads, and you can't put one thread on two processors.

For RAM: You can use the commandline option -nomemrestrict to make GTA use system memory to augument GPU memory. Windows supports this, but GTA by default doesn't consider system memory to be available video memory.

Also, friendly tip: saying "oh, my computer is beast! it cost me 1.2 thousand!" is completely useless. All it does is make you look like someone who has no idea what you're talking about. Give specifics or don't mention it at all.
