The latest updated version of RAGE Plugin Hook, required to play LSPDFR, can be found inside the LSPDFR download. It is not currently available on the RAGE Plugin Hook website.

Hi, I need help with RAGE Plugin Hook. Here is everything I tried:

The problem started when: Windows Defender flagged RAGEPluginHook.exe as Trojan:Win32/Bearfoos.B!ml and quarantined it.

What I tried:

  • Restored the file from quarantine

  • Added the entire GTA V folder AND RAGEPluginHook.exe as exclusions in Windows Defender

  • Always running RAGEPluginHook.exe as administrator

  • Fresh reinstall of GTA V Legacy to a new location (not on Desktop)

  • Fresh reinstall of LSPDFR (using RPH from inside the LSPDFR package from lcpdfr.com)

  • Disabled Windows Defender completely - still same error

  • Ran bcdedit /set testsigning on

  • Tried launching GTA normally first, then alt-tabbing and launching RPH - same error

  • Removed AdvancedHookV.dll

  • Fixed commandline.txt (had -disableCustomLoadingScreen duplicated)

  • Added -nobattleye to launch arguments

  • Restarted PC multiple times

Current error: "Could not hook game process. Insufficient permissions or bad anti-virus. Please try again. If the problem persists, please restart your computer."

GTA V Legacy runs fine without RPH. The error appears even with Defender completely disabled.

System: Windows 10, RTX 2060, GTA V build 3889

Any help appreciated!

    You need to re-install the manual LSPDFR and restart the PC after doing this.

    You should not be running RagePluginHook as Administrator.
