Hello dear community, I’m having major problems getting LSPDFR to work. I’ve searched through countless videos and forum posts, but nothing has helped.

I installed the LSPDFR Preview Enhanced Edition since I’m using GTA 5 Enhanced Edition. Installing LSPDFR and RPH, along with everything else like ScripthookV, went smoothly. As soon as I launch RPH, it tries to start the game and boom, I get an “Insufficient permission” error message. Nothing is being blocked by antivirus or Windows Defender I’ve turned off all protection. I've also granted my user access to the entire GTA5 directory with all possible permissions.

What’s strange is that yesterday I managed to launch LSPDR twice by deleting the ragepluginhook.ini file and the corresponding log. On top of that, the RPH log is barely filled at all when it crashes at the „insufficient permission“ error. The only time there was actually anything to see in the log was when I managed to launch the game. So i was like huh? Had to try again, so I closed the game and restart rph - Nope, doesnt work. I delete the ini and the log - suddenly it loads up again. But After those 2 tries this workaround also stopped working..

Im sorry for not uploading the rph log right away - im at work right now (ill do that later!) but maybe someone is already familiar with this error i just had to get this out.

Please install the following fix (link also provided by RPH): https://www.gta5-mods.com/scripts/directstoragefix Please note that you need to use the xinput1_4.dll from SHV and replace the one included by default with RPH in this case.

Yes, ill post the screenshot of the .ini as soon as i get home!

And yes, im using a NVMe and i already tried the directstoragefix but that didnt help. I dont want to lie but its possible that I messed something up along the way(maybe wrong xinput) since I've been struggling with this for two days now. I'll definitely try the DirectStorage fix again and let you know.

Ok Im back.

- Tried the StorageFix again, it didnt work

- Deleted the RPH.log and .ini again and it booted up but LSPDFR is loading forever looks like it wont load at all. I didnt change the PluginTimeoutThreshold at this point so it was set to 10000

- Deleted both files again, booted up RPH and changed the Threshold to 60000 -> Same thing happening like already mentioned

Added the ini and both RPH.logs from both attempts

[WARN] Failed to read lspdfr/chars/Default_Male.ls: System.IO.IOException: The process cannot access the file 'lspdfr/chars/Default_Male.bak' because it is being used by another process.

at System.IO.__Error.WinIOError(Int32 errorCode, String maybeFullPath)

This is the error.
This means either its a permission problem or an access problem, which can be fixed with the direct storage fix.

Make sure to exclude your whole gta folder and the ragepluginhook exe seperately in the windows antivirus.

Additionally make sure you have full access for the gta folder: right click your gta folder - properties - security - make sure user, system and admin have all hooks/ permissions

Like I said the DirectStorageFix is in the Game Directory..
The whole GTA 5 Enhanced folder and RPH exe is excluded in Windows Defender - I dont use any different antivirus.
And I already have full permission on my GTA5 folder and every other folder/file inside of the GTA5 Enhanced folder.

Should I just try the Legacy Edition? Because i really don't know what else to do anymore

Do you have dinput8.dll and ScripthookV.dll in your gta folder?

Yes. both files are in the game directory

Update:

Legacy version works. Giving up on Enhanced.
