Suspect vehicle slows down, stutters.

Featured Replies

Hi everyone,

I'm having a persistent issue during pursuits in LSPDFR and I can't figure out what's causing it.

The Issue: Whenever a pursuit callout starts, I drive up to the suspect. After about 3 seconds of driving, the suspect's vehicle suddenly slows down dramatically. It looks like the vehicle is trying to accelerate but can't—it stutters/jerks slightly back and forth, loses all speed, and after a few seconds, the NPC just gets out of the car and flees on foot.

What I've already tried / tested:

  • Reinstalled my mods.

  • Completely removed the mods folder (issue persists on stock game files).

  • Removed Real Pursuit AI and Real Traffic AI scripts from the scripts folder.

  • Set TrafficControlRadius=0 in StopThePed.ini.

  • My game runs capped at ~60 FPS (so it shouldn't be a high FPS engine physics bug).

Has anyone encountered this issue before or knows which script/setting might be causing this conflict? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Attaching my RagePluginHook.log file in case anyone can take a look.
