ELS Not Working for Certain Vehicles

Featured Replies

I have encountered an issue where ELS doesn't work on some vehicles but works on the others, one example that is really troubling is the border patrol vehicles. ELS is downloaded correctly, same with the ELS files for the vehicles. Border Patrol pack as a whole is affected but so are some of the CHP vehicles, notably the slicktop ones.

I have already uninstalled and reinstalled ASI managers on OpenIV like I read on some tutorials, and even ELS, issue persists.

I cannot view the imbedded video you have. But, if ELS is working on some vehicles, then ELS is working and it is likely the specific vehicles you are using. Years ago I used to take vehicles out of addon packs to install them in replace slots (e.g., police2) and would have issues since some addon packs use specific config files. Some vehicles worked okay while others were messed up. That can be an issue.

Maybe try installing a good/well-known pack and see if the whole pack works, maybe like an addon pack.

Also, make sure the vehicles you have don't require SSLA: https://www.lcpdfr.com/downloads/gta5mods/scripts/28560-sirensetting-limit-adjuster/. By the way, it is currently outdated on this website but has been updated by other players on Discord)

Checking on the pack description it does say that SSLA is required. However, new issue has risen, that being that the lights for the default Ambulance, Firetruck, and other vehicles now light up as a giant png or very bright white light from a distance, and turn off once theyre near. Might this be related to SSLA being outdated as well?

I have seen other users report very large or bright lights, but I am not sure what causes that as I have not had that happen myself. I would try installing the updated SSLA (link to the Discord is on the LCPDFR page for the mod). Other than that modified graphics settings like visualsettings.dat can cause issues if not done correctly.
