ELS editing .ini question

Featured Replies

I'm still new to editing the .ini files, but I was wondering when I comment out the lines for the key binds because I am trying to clear up possible key conflicts with other mods and keys that I don't think I will use, why does it default to being activated in game? Do the functions have to have a key bind?

Thanks for any help

to be honest i'm not 100% sure what you are asking here, but i'd love to help if i can get some better clarification!

I'll try to explain the best I can hah. So ELS uses quite a few key binds which I don't really use and I want to free the keys up for something else. For instance, I commented out the line ; Toggle_SIRN = 71 , which is the G key. So when I go in game, the siren starts  activated and stays on instead of starting in a de-active state. Since there is no key assigned you can't turn off the siren, which should have started being off. Right?

I am trying to figure if the keys do in fact have to be bound to something or I messed up somewhere hehe.  My thinking is that you unbind a key and it shouldn't work.

Hopefully all of that makes sense?

I'll try to post a video with an example also.  I'm doing a fresh install of everything so it might be a bit hehe.
