Edit: The text seems to be right but I cannot seem to get the same look as on the cruiser it looks like they have almost stretched the lettering. Is there some way I can do that?

The correct way to extend the letters is within the 'characters' tool settings. You'll see a way to extend the letters in width while still having the correct spacing under "horizontally scale".

Sorry for not responding to any of these responses I have been busy but yes DLer I am using Paint.net and I will try to use the rectangle tool to extend them like Michael said. Thank you everyone for responding.
