Hi,
I’m having a serious issue with RAGE Plugin Hook and the Steam version of GTA V.
RPH does not detect that I have the Steam version – the log always shows:
Is steam version: False
Because of this, RPH does not hook into the game at all and just gets stuck on "Launching game...". The game launches, but RPH never attaches itself, so no plugins load and LSPDFR does not work.

What I have already tried:

GTA V and Steam are both installed on 😄

RPH is launched from the game folder on 😄

Steam is running (not as admin), RPH is run as admin

Tried launching RPH with the -steam parameter

No steam_appid.txt file in the GTA V folder

No other mods (clean install)

Tried on a new Windows user account

All Windows security features disabled

Verified game files in Steam

Tried older versions of RPH

GTA V launches and works fine through Steam

RPH log always says:

text

Is steam version: False

I am not the only one – other users are having the exact same problem!
It seems like this could be a bug in the latest RPH, Steam, or Windows 11 update.

Does anyone know a solution? Is there a fix or update planned?
Any help or information would be greatly appreciated!

You could try:

 

1. Running steam/GTA as admin also.

2. Launching GTA V then launching RPH.

3. Potentially may have to disable battleye if you haven't, although that would usually tell you I think.

4. Make sure you're using the version of rage provided with LSPDFR.

 

Hopefully one of these may work.
