lspdfr crashes a couple of minutes after going on duty

Featured Replies

Hello all i am looking for support on this newest series of crashes that have made lspdfr unusable. The plugin crashes after a few minutes of going on duty. It will randomly do it half way through a call or traffic stop with no clear reason. The biggest changes i've made to my files before the crashes started was I added a few new add on vehicles and edited the duty txt file to show them in the garage instead of the default cars (i.e a tahoe dlc replacing the fib suv) I also edited display names for some of the cars in the garage (i.e changing "police crusier" to "ford crown victoria"). I also told ultimate backup to start using these cars as well. Unsure if that has anything to do with it as sometimes the add on cars arent even spawned when the crashes happen. I also have cars that replaced the default ones but i've never had problems after making the txt changes. Included is the most recent log file. Most of the last crash logs have all been the same.

The main cause is invalid vehicle models (which are randomly generated during a chase). I recommend:
1. Correcting Your Vehicle Configuration Files:

  1. Open: Grand Theft Auto V/lspdfr/agency.xml (and any other custom agency files you may have created).
  2. Grand Theft Auto V/plugins/lspdfr/UltimateBackup/default.xml (and any other custom UB configuration files).

Carefully search for lines containing policeb2 and tahoefbi.
You have two options:

  • Completely delete the <Vehicle> lines containing these models.
  • Correct the model names with the correct ones you have installed. It is crucial to ensure there are no typos and that the model name in the .xml file exactly matches the vehicle model name in the game.

2. Check Outfit Configuration
Similarly to step 1, you can check the Grand Theft Auto V/lspdfr/data/outfits.xml file and other custom outfit files.
You should search for lspd_cop and ensure the outfit exists and is configured correctly. This is less critical but helps maintain a clean installation.
3. Test the game
4. If the problem persists, perform a clean reinstall.
