Traffic light

Does anyone know how to change the green and red light durations for traffic lights? Is there a mod, plugin, or something else that changes how traffic lights work to make them more realistic? It's really hard to roleplay and follow traffic laws properly. I've noticed that the red light lasts around 40 to 50 seconds, while the green light only lasts about 2 to 4 seconds. I barely have time to move a meter before it switches to red again, and NPCs almost hit me.
I play with a steering wheel and pedals, and this really ruins the experience for me. I’ve tried to find the file that controls traffic light behavior, but it seems like the code or file responsible is complicated. I also searched online and found a few people who wanted to change it too, but either they didn’t get any answers or no one knew how to help.
In any case, I’d really appreciate it if someone could help with this.
