GTA5 Crashes seconds after opening with rage hook

Featured Replies

Man....I'm stuck. There are no videos or forums discussing my exact issue so i'm asking for help!!!!

Before you ask, GTA5 legacy, I deleted all plugins, all other types of mods, scripthookv is updated, rage is updated. RagenativeUI is updated.
When I load into GTA5 with ragehook plugin, doesn't matter where, whether in file, or shortcut. GTA will open, then crash. Now, I can load story mode just fine without ragehook, and I can inject ragehook after loading in, but I can only play the game for a few minutes before it crashes again.. I'm not sure where to look now, I deleted everything, reinstalled LSPDFR. Validated all files. Still does it. It also doesn't generate a crash report. It says its in the process but I have to use task manager to force close gta5 or itl'll just keep loading the report. SO...Any ideas?????

Man can anyone help me here. I reinstalled GTA. Deleted the main file to start over. Still does it.

Hey, hope this helps, (if you haven't solved it yet) I had this same issue out of nowhere with my game, GTA would say it crashed as soon as I fired up RPH, and would stay on a loading bar saying it crashed and was trying to collect report, after trying a couple times to get it to launch, I decided to go to the main game directory and select properties on GTA5 and then select run as administrator, then hit "apply" then launched the game with RPH, I was able to load in without crashing and play without a crash, not saying this will work for you as it did for me, but it's worth a shot if you haven't tried it yet or figured it out. I also run RPH as administrator or else it won't let me launch story mode with RPH. I'm on GTA build (3504.0)

Can't seem to find the location of that run as administrator in properties..Where exactly could it be?

In your main game directory, scroll down until you find GTA5, right click on it, then select properties, then select compatibility, you will then see a box you can checkmark to run as administrator, remember to hit apply before closing out.
